Congratulations to u17s player Jordan Butler who refereed the 3rd grade game on Saturday. His debut in Grade rugby and he was excellent, already comments on here from both teams about the quality of his work. Jordy has the potential to be a long term first grade second rower and the grumpy old men of 3rds had no chance to intimidate him on the field when he was probably the tallest one out there. Jordy is another product of the Sharks Junior referee mentoring program run by Brett Beaumont that has been consistently producing high quality refs into Central Coast senior & junior rugby for many years now. His only problem on the day was the official uniform, and the shorts designed for 1980s Aussie Rules players!
