A pretty good day for the juniors, with 4 wins and 4 losses in a day of rain, wind and bursts of sunshine. U10s lost to Terrigal Red in a close encounter 19-17, u11s won against Ourimbah 19-12, u12s lost to Ourimbah 57-0, u13s beat Warnervale 20-5, u14s won against Ourimbah 29-5, u15s baabaas lost to Warnervale 47-12, u16s lost to Ourimbah 24-14 (although it was a much closer contest than the score indicates), and u17s played brilliantly to beat Terrigal 32-0. Cheers boys.

A great day at the Sharkpool, a bit of winter weather meant that the u16s & u17s got the rare experience of playing in the rain. They both played good rugby, the 16s just missing out against a very good Ourimbah team and the 17s picking up a bonus point win against Terrigal.. Big shout out to 17s coaches Matt Anderson & Chad Martin who are really doing a great job with the boys. Then on to 3rd grade, who scored late in the game to seal a 17-10 win. 3 tries, 3pts & players ...player to Gareth Brown, 1 conversion to Travis Gallen. 2 points to Brendan Eather, 1 pt to Nathan Pickup - back playing for us after a few years off. Seconds had a hard time of it, going down 0-34. The positive was a lot of young men who had played Juniors for us coming back to Rugby. Once they all get a few training sessions together things will turn around. 3 pts to John Paterson, 2pts Jesse Pavlovich, 1pt & players player to Thomas Starkey In the 1sts the Sharks came out playing the same precision game as they did last week against Hornsby. 3 early tries and a penalty had us up 18-0 at the half. Then possession started going their way and it got as close as 21-15 before a penalty got us clear at 24-15 at close to full time and they wrapped it up from there. 3pts to Emile Thomas, 2pts Daniel Aguirre-Acevedo & Sam Fortey ( making a special guest appearance) 1pt Elliot Dawkins & Mitchell Jacob tries to Joshua Fash Meadham, Elliott Dawkins & Daniel Aguirre-Acevedo. 2 penalties to Dylan Hardaker and 1 penalty to Mitch Jacob. Blake Jacob was players player. Another special family moment for the club with twins Blake & Mitch Jacob starting first grade together for the first time! Next week Gosford at Gosford Cheers Boys!  Congratulations to Blake Jacob, Mitchell Jacob and all the Jacob family. With Mitch earning his spot in first grade we had the twin brothers starting together in the top team for the first time .. there will be plenty more! A big round for the Sharks this Saturday. At the Sharkpool in Seniors we take on last years runners up Ourimbah. 3rds at 12:30, 2nds at 1:40 and top grade at 3pm. Junior games start the day there at 9am with the 16s also against Ourimbah, followed by the u17s v Terrigal. No u19s this week as they have a bye for the u18 Country Championships. Good luck to Max Stewart, Sam Evans, Tyler Mcmanus and Luke Wiseman who are part of the team defending the Country & State Championships Central Coast won as u17s last year. Also our u19s coach Adam Wheeler is in charge of the Central Coast team, assisted by Cam Stewart & David Upcroft.
The other Junior teams are at few different venues: 10am u7 green v Gosford @ Gosford, 8am u7 Gold v Woy Woy Red @ JBO, 8.30am u7 white v Ourimbah @ Ourimbah, 8.40am U8 Green v Warnervale @ JBO, 10.10am U8 Gold v Woy Woy @ Ettalong, 8.30am u9 v Ourimbah @ Ourimbah, 9.20am u10 v Terrigal Red @ The Haven, u11-u14 are all Ourimbah starting at 9.20, 10.10, 11.10, 12.10 respectively. The Barbarians have the long drive to Woongarrah, playing Warnervale at 12.20pm. Plenty of options to have a look at the Juniors, then back to Heazlett for what promises to be a great afternoon of Rugby. Don't forget to order your 40th anniversary jersey while you are there!
