Juniors wrap - Day started at Heazlett with the u15s Barbarians showing off their new jerseys for the first time. The gear looked great and boys put in a big effort against a strong opposition going down 12-40. Finley Brown backed up his recent selection in the Country squad with a man of the match performance. The 16s followed that with a nail-biter, just missing out 8-12. The 17s continued their strong work this year, didn't quite get the result, but a lot of good work duri...ng the game showed the will be ready when the games get serious in the finals. 0-14 in that one. Over at the Haven and at Ettalong the 7s, 8s and 9s all had a great day out. The u7 White also got a run at half time of 1st grade and left the field to huge applause from the big crowd. Comp matches started with the u10s who picked up a good 22-0 result over the Terrigal Blue, u11s kept it going with a 15-10 win over Terrigal., u12s competed well against last year premiers before going down 0-22. The u13s got Sharks back on top with a 5-0 win in what must have been a nailbiter. Great news from that game is that Liam Brettoner was found to have no serious injury after his trip to hospital and is now home and feeling good! Final game at the Haven was the u14s and in another close game our boys went down 0-10. Overall a good day for the Juniors, made better by the news on Liam.
