Thirds coach Dylan Hardaker decided he preferred the title of captain-coach and led the team out against current Premiers Gosford. It was an incredibly tight game and in the end the only points scored was a try to Justin Staben, celebrating his signature "Fuzz Ale" being available at the bar. 1pt Brook Cheezy Morrow, 2pts Justin Staben & Will Grassby, 3pts and players player to Cooper Elliott.
Seconds had a lot more scoring but still a very tight game, the boys holding on for a 20-17 win. Tries to Rhys Stratton, Rhys Edwards & Luke McPhie.Rob Magrath in his first game for the Club after transferring in from Hornsby kicked a conversion and a penalty. 1pt Rhys Stratton, 2pts to Rob Magrath, 3pts Justin Gilmore, with Patrick Wheatley picking up the players player.
Prior to 1sts kickoff there a minute silence in memory of Premiership winning Club Coach, Len Martin. From the start we dominated territory, but couldn't get the points to match the field position. A very tight game that finished 14-14 after we were awarded a penalty try late to go with the earlier try scored by Adrian Jones and converted by Matt Anderson (team captain, Club captain, goalkicker - a big day for Ando!) 1pt to Bradd Sheridan & Matt Anderson, 2pts Julian Bacigalupo, 3pts Joshua Fash Meadham. Bradd Sheridan was players player. Congratulations to u19s players Michael Hobden & Jordan Sanchez who made their run on debuts in 1st grade - and to Rob Magrath who came on from the bench for his debut in the top grade.
