2nds were in a must win game and despite having the best of field position in the first half a runaway try had them down 0-7. Gerard Aldrick scored a great try for 5-7, then they went ahead 12-5 before a converted penalty try for us levelled the game. It was a nail biter and we received a late penalty, Justin Staben stepped up to make the kick and seal a 15-12 win. One of the highlights was an amazing maul where it looked like our player may have been held up in the tackle, but players came from everywhere and suddenly there were 11 Sharks players driving it about 30m downfield until Ourimbah had to collapse the maul to stop our progress. 1pt Brad Brad Bunce Mitchell, 2pts Matt Ritchie, 3pts Cameron Shaw. Players player Gerard Aldrick
First grade also had a must win game and came out with intent and power to quickly get to a 19-0 lead with three sensational tries to the speed men; 2 to Joe Carroll and the other to Nathan Brown. They hit back with a try for 19-5 at the break. Much tighter in the second half, and a few opportunities went begging (I won't mention anything Brad Bunce Mitchell) but most importantly Chad Martin scored the 4th try to give us a bonus point on the ladder. Nathan Brown kicked 3 conversions in the 26-5 victory. Impressive right across the team and coaches had difficulty singling out those for points .. 1pt Pete Steele & Daniel Reihana, 2pts Luke Sheridan, 3pts and players player out of his usual position at #13 Mitchell Jacob. Congratulations to u19s player Harrisen Bowcock for getting his first time in first grade late in the match. Next week another important away game for all 4 Senior teams v Gosford at The Showground. Cheers Boys!
