What a great day .. the clouds cleared and suddenly it was summer again! Started with our older Junior teams - 15s did well, it is just great that they are getting to play Rugby with so many other Clubs not having a team. 16s & 17s had good victories. Then on to the u19s playing a Woy Woy team short of players. We didn't have our full squad on deck as so many were playing first grade later in the day. Ended up 50-0 with 2 tries to Cooper Elliott, and tries to Henry Cumming (always good to see a big prop steamroller over the line) Jordan Davies, Isaac Barnes, Jobe Graham, Adam Chettle & Tristan Morris-bowyer. Isaac Barnes landed 5 conversions. 1pt Adam Chettle, 2pts Isaiah Fairless, 3pts and players player to Cooper Elliott. I have spoken to Adam Shakoff's mother - the break was confirmed, he will be operated on tomorrow to have a plate put in. best wishes for a quick recovery Adam! Third grade returned to winners circle and had a solid 19-5 win. Tries to Cameron Shaw, Sebastian Eguia & Nathan Brown who also kicked 2 conversions. 1pt to Troy Myers & Daniel Reihana (great to have both those men back in Sharks jerseys!) 2pts Steve Farrell, 3pts Thomas Starkey with Daniel Reihana getting the players player. Seconds were down 0-19 at the half but came back really strongly to just miss out 17-19. Tries to Adrian Jones, Mick Arnold & Gareth Brown, with one conversion to Rob Magrath. 1pt Dylan Hardaker, 2pts Cooper Elliott, 3pts and players player Matthew Ritchie. Then on to the big game against a Woy Woy team ahead of us on the ladder. They opened the scoring with a penalty, we replied with two converted tries for a 14-3 half time lead. They came out firing after the break and quickly got the score back to 10-14. They had all of the field position for most of that second half but our much smaller forward pack were fantastic in keeping their big men under control. One more converted try got us to 21-10 that was the final score. 2 tries to Chris Newton, Blake Jacob got the other one, with Connor Kondrat converting all 3. 1pt to all of the front row Joshua Fash Meadham, Tim Newton & Jake McPhie, 2pts Chad Martin, 3pts and players player Blake Jacob. Great effort from the three u19s players starting 1st grade for the first time - Tim Newton, Harrisen Bowcock & Liam Donsworth - all had huge games in the forwards with Connor Kondrat also from the u19s strong at fullback. Here is your fun statistic for the week, first grade today between them had played 791 comp age (u10-17) Junior games for the Club - the progression of our Juniors into Seniors is something we have every right to be very proud of! Next week Grade travel to Warnervale, with the u19s playing Terrigal at The Haven. Cheers Boys!

My favourite pic from the day .. 4 of our u19s started First Grade, running on with their coaches from 2016 ... and professional level photo bomb from the oldest member of the team! — with Liam Donsworth, Tim Newton, Matt Anderson, Connor Kondrat, Chad Martin, Harrisen Bowcock and Justin Staben.

Fantastic to have Gosford Private Hospital joining the Club as sponsors this season. Match day sponsors v Woy Woy, here with the players who won players players awards in their grades. Still looking for a new polo shirt that can get over Daniel Reihana's biceps
