A perfect winter's day made all the better by the Sharks Seniors claiming victories in all 4 grades. u19s had another really tight game against Terrigal, and were down 10-19 not long after half time. A late try to Isaac Barnes got us home 20-19. Other tries to Sebastian Bowcock & Ben Francis, Isaac also kicked a conversion and a penalty. 1pt Michael Hobden, 2pts Isaac Barnes, 3 pts and players to big young man who is getting better every game Henry Cumming. Unfortunately Hornsby couldn't get a 3rd grade side to the game, so that was a bonus point win to the Thirstys. Seconds came out on fire and 3 tries inside the first 10 minutes. The first half continued that way with the score 45-0 at the break. A stronger 2nd half from Hornsby with a final score of 62-0. First grade faced a Hornsby squad much improved from the first round and got down 0-12 early in the game before getting back to 7-12 at half time. It was a hard slog but a late try sealed the bonus point win 29-12. Tries to Elliot Dawkins, Blake Jacob, Chad Martin & Mick Arnold, with Connor Kondrat taking a break from his acting career to convert 3 tries and kick a penalty. 1pt Blake Jacob & Joshua Fash Meadham, 2pts Connor Kondrat, 3pts and players player to Mitchell Jacob. Next four weeks will be vital to our finals hopes: away to Ourimbah, home to Terrigal, away to Woy Woy and home to Warnervale. So plan on getting to 1st grade as much as possible to support the boys.
