Good evening everyone,
This message is for all of junior parents/caretakers in regards to field setup, bbq and canteen duties. I’d like to start by thanking all of the volunteers behind the scenes that make the wheels turn every week with our wonderful club. This post is a reminder to all of our parents/caretakers that the example for our kids starts with you. For years it has been quite evident that the same people from every age group come to the grounds early and do the field setup, bbq and canteen duties. I understand that life is busy and that weekends are a whirlwind for everybody, however, I would like all of our parents to realise that every single person that administers our wonderful game is an unpaid volunteer that provide hours and hours of their own time to make our sport what it is. When you are asked to volunteer on a Saturday morning to do your half an hour on the bbq or canteen please give back your time to a club that has a multitude of people giving theirs to make sure that your son or daughter is given the best opportunity to play this amazing sport. Just remember that everyone that you see coaching, managing, refereeing and administering on a Saturday is a volunteer and as parents when we ask you to volunteer a small amount of your time to make our home games happen we would really appreciate it if everyone put their hand up and helped out.
