NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
to be held at the HEAZLETT PARK CLUBHOUSE
on SUNDAY 3rd December 2017
commencing at 4:00pm
The only business to be conducted is the consideration of the following Special Resolutions:
Special Resolution (1) {*see note below}
This Special General Meeting of Avoca Beach Rugby Club, in accordance with s39 of the Association Incorporation Act 2009, agrees to alter 4(3) of the Constitution to:
4 Ordinary, social and junior membership
(3) A nomination of a person for ordinary or social membership of the club:
(a) must be made by a member of the club in writing (including electronically) in the form approved by the committee, and
(b) must be lodged with the secretary of the club; and
(c) for the purposes of subsection 3(b) electronic lodgement of registration forms nominated by the governing body of rugby union will be deemed as having been lodged with the secretary of the club.
Special Resolution (2)
This Special General Meeting of Avoca Beach Rugby Club, in accordance with s39 of the Association Incorporation Act 2009, agrees to add 38(4) to the Constitution:
38 Colours and playing uniform
(4) Each season the Club Committee may approve, for charitable purposes, a change in colour and design of the socks on one designated date for Seniors and one designated date for Juniors.
*Special Resolution (1) is due to the ARU requirement for online registrations
